Monitor temperatures indoors and out with Taylor’s wireless weather instrument. Since 1851, Taylor has been manufacturing thermometers of every kind--from candy thermometers to industrial freezer gauges. This weather system has a base unit that relays information from an accompanying outdoor sensor. With a little meteorological foreknowledge you’ll know to pack a jacket on brisk mornings, or bring an umbrella when stormy weather’s on the way. This handy gadget also monitors indoor temperatures. Its base easily mounts to a wall or stands upright on tables and window ledges. The system records daily minimum and maximum temperatures, plus has a low-battery indicator. An easy-to-read LCD display on the monitor and sensor has 2/3-inch-high digits, and provides temperature readings in both Celsius and Fahrenheit. This versatile climate tool displays indoor temperatures from +23 to +122 degrees F, and outdoor temperatures from -4 to +140 degrees F. In colder environments, two AA lithium batteries in the outdoor sensor allow users to monitor temperatures as low as – 40 degrees F. The system has a transmission range of 100 feet between base unit and sensor. To extend its reach, or monitor temperatures in a swimming pool or fish pond; just use the included, removable, 11-foot cable. Taylor’s high-tech weather gage accommodates up to three remote sensors and runs on four AA alkaline batteries (not included). The base unit measures 3 by 3 by 1 inches, while the transmitter measures 3 by 2-3/4 by 1 inches. When shipped, the complete system measures 8-4/5 by 8 by 2-1/4 inches and weighs 1 pound.
